The P500 features a thin, sleek profile complimenting any building's decor. This is a proximity card reader designed to work with an access control panel, and is not a stand-alone device. The P-500 reader is designed to be affixed to a standard American single-gang wall switch box. Read range with the standard PSC-1 clamshell card is up to five inches (127 mm). The P500 includes a four state LED (red, green, amber, and off), an audio tone, and both black and off-white covers standard. Output types include both Weigand and ABA (clock and data).

The P500 can be ordered with compatibility with other brands of proximity cards. Order the "-H" model for HID compatibility. Order the "-A" model for AWID compatibility. Compatible models also read native Farpointe cards.
